How are our recipes created?

At Just Russel, we develop our recipes together with a team of experienced nutritionists and veterinarians. For every formula, we take into account the specific needs of your dog and/or cat. Animal protein is always the main ingredient, as it contains all the essential amino acids pets needs to stay healthy.

Where possible, we make our formulas monoprotein to reduce the risk of food sensitivities. We also add prebiotics for a healthy digestion and use only easily digestible carbohydrates, such as rice. Our food is naturally gluten-free, and in the grain-free variants, we replace rice with potato and sweet potato. In addition, we enrich every recipe with natural antioxidants and a balanced mix of vitamins and minerals.

For dogs or cats with specific needs, we also offer adapted formulas — for example for digestion, skin & coat, joints, urinary tract, weight management, or growth support.
